Mission

HugSquad is dedicated to extending love and kindness throughout the planet Earth and inspiring and mobilizing others to act in such ways through the simple act of hugging.

One of the most basic needs of a human being (and any living thing) is one of connection.

We live in a world that has, for the most part, forgotten the primal importance of this, and we mostly get caught up in distractions from what is ultimately most important in our lives... LOVE

HugSquad is a group of individuals dedicated to helping all beings remember this Truth.

This is a movement. We are relying on generative effects, meaning that the hug we give the person on the street will extend beyond that as that person tells about their experience to their friends, family, and colleagues. Then they may tell another, and another and then may join the movement. A pay-it-forward concept. Our group may contain anywhere from 2 to 2 billion people or more.

Our initiative is to gather together groups of people in a selected location and whom will promote love via the simple act of offering free hugs to anyone who is interested.

Why do we hug? Everyone can hug. It's not complicated. It is one of the most direct, and heartfelt actions available to us as humans to express love and care for one another. It is a universal gesture of love that transcends age, culture, language and time.

Our locations will include malls, busy street corners, stadium events - essentially high-traffic areas to reach as many people as possible.

This is an all-ages movement, both our elders and children are encouraged to participate... no one will be denied participation in it as long as they act from integrity.
